This place is the best food place around. I work nearby so I'm constantly trying to find good lunch spots. Not only does this spot provide excellent lunch, they also provide breakfast! The place itself is next to a tire shop but the outdoor dining area is cute, decorated nicely, and welll shaded. The entrance is easy to find and easy to get into. Their service is quick and their food is fast and delicious. Their tacos (not pictured) come in a deep fried shell for that extra crunch. The burritos are packed full of delicious food. Pictured is the breakfast burrito with chorizo and bacon. The ratio of ingredients was well balanced, the bacon was crispy and delicious, and the salsa is super tasty (even on its own.) The prices here are fantastic for the quality! Love this spot.

At La Fogata, flavor reigns, Where smoky meats and spice remain. Each taco bursts with zest and soul, A bite, and boom—you're fully whole. Behold that birria tacos, slow and neat, Topped with onions, sauce, and heat. Next to it, a verde stream— A carnitas lover’s wildest dream. The squeeze of lime, the jalapeño flash, With radish crisp and tortilla mash. Each element just hits the mark— This taco tray? A foodie spark. And oh! That quesadilla pull— Cheese like lava, rich and full. Grilled to golden, beef inside, With creamy dips all side-by-side. Guac and crema, salsa green, This taquería is a dream. Five stars fly like salsa spray— La Fogata made our day!

We tried the quesabirria tacos and the regular tacos on our first visit. As another review said, I think the meat could have benefitted from a little more salt, and the birria consummé was weak, but service was great, food was good. There is a nice shaded patio there with several shades tables to enjoy our lunch. I'll come back and try a burrito next time.

We ordered the carne asada street tacos and a quesabirria taco. Everything was delicious and I would have to rate these as the best I've had it Placer County. A bit on the expensive side, but very tasty and definitely worth it.

There are two La Fogatas. One is a brick and mortar restaurant and one more is more of a taco truck side of the road kind of deal. Both have great street tacos & homemade Mexican food. The brick and mortar location has molcajete, which my husband and I had for the first time on our honeymoon MANY years ago . If you know you know. We go back here for this yummy dish, the street tacos, the burritos and the Mexican breakfast items anytime we are craving that south of the border flavor profile.

Nestled in the heart of Loomis, CA, La Fogata Taqueria (Tacos, Burritos & More) delivers a genuine taste of Mexican street food with a roadside taco stand charm. Located at 3987 Taylor Rd, this spot is a hidden gem for anyone seeking bold, authentic flavors paired with quick, friendly service.

From the moment you arrive, the welcoming shaded outdoor patio invites you to sit down and savor meals crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The vibe strikes a perfect balance between casual and carefully curated, making it an easy choice for breakfast or lunch.

The tacos are standout stars here. One customer raved about their deep-fried taco shells, offering an irresistible crunch that elevates every bite. Varieties like birria tacos come richly stewed and topped with fresh onion and zesty sauce that bursts with smoky, savory depth. The carnitas tacos are described as a carnivore’s dream, perfectly complemented by a squeeze of lime, crisp radishes, and bright jalapeño heat. Each taco delivers a masterful layering of textures and flavors that truly satisfy.

For burrito lovers, the offerings don’t disappoint. A breakfast burrito packed with crispy bacon and flavorful chorizo exemplifies the Taqueria’s attention to ingredient balance and taste harmony. The salsa served alongside is so flavorful, it stands out as a highlight on its own, showcasing the kitchen’s talent in making each component shine.

The quesadilla options, including the popular quesabirria, are grilled to gooey perfection with savory fillings and accompanied by creamy guacamole and salsa verde. While some diners note a slight room for seasoning improvement in the birria consommé, the overall experience remains consistently delicious and satisfying.

Above all, the portion sizes are generous, the prices accessible, and the staff attentive, creating an inviting atmosphere where quality and value meet seamlessly. As a food lover, I find La Fogata Taqueria a must-visit—whether you crave the crunch of expertly fried tacos, the hearty comfort of stuffed burritos, or the melty pull of a cheesy quesadilla, this Loomis hotspot delivers with passion and flavor that lingers long after the last bite.
